Denise has over 20 years’ laboratory experience, starting her career with MAFQual Animal Health Laboratory in 1993 in the biochemistry laboratory.   Since then Denise has worked predominantly for Awanui Veterinary and Awanui Scientific on the bench and as the Quality Manager, gaining IANZ and LAS signatory status in clinical pathology and analytical food testing. 

Denise became the Laboratory Manager in late 2023. She takes an active interest in the day-to-day running of the laboratory, maintaining her signatory status and always seeking to improve client service standards.
